Draw made for U18, U20 and NICC National Cup

Defending champions Titans BC will take on Ballina Braves in the first round of the U20 Men’s National Cup, while Gurranabraher Credit Union Brunell will begin their title defence against Munster foes Limerick Celtics in the Ken Clarke U20 Women’s National Cup. Last year’s NICC Men’s and Women’s National Cup winners Phoenix BC and Fr. Mathews receive bye to round two. 

The 2025/26 Billy Coffey U18 Men’s National Cup winners, Dublin Lions will take on Templeogue in this year’s preliminary round, while silver medallists St Brendan’s Tralee have been drawn into Pool 2A. There will be 11 preliminary round games, allowing the winners to advance to the pool phase, where they will take on the rest of the competition.  

The U18 Women’s National Cup has been split into eight pools, with the top two teams advancing to the quarter-finals. Portlaoise Panthers will host all games in Pool 1, with GurranabraherCredit Union Brunell playing host to Pool 2. Defending champions Limerick Celtics will compete against Swords BC, Tridents and Waterford Wildcats in their home court, while 2024/25 champions Meteors BC face Killester and St Mary’s in Pool 3. 

A Tralee derby will tip-off round one of the U20 Men’s National Cup, as Tralee Magic BC face St Brendan’s Tralee. Last year’s finalists Neptune are one of seven teams to receive a bye into round two, where the competition will narrow down to 16 teams. Two Dublin derbies will be contested in round one, with Dublin Raiders taking on Éanna BC and UCD Marian playing Tolka Rovers. 

16 teams will begin the Ken Clarke U20 Women’s National Cup, playing in a straight knockout format. The 2024/25 winners Tralee Magic BC take on Mallow FC in round one and 2025/26 silver medallists Templeogue travel to Ongar Chasers. Gurranabraher Credit Union Brunell will hope to begin their title defence with a win over Limerick Celtics, and Swords BC make the short journey north to take on Drogheda Wolves. 

Phoenix BC will not play in round one of the NICC Men’s National Cup, having received a bye to round two, while their fellow 2025/26 finalists Killester take on Tolka Rovers. Six teams have received a bye to the last 16, with the other 20 teams competing in a straight knockout in round one. Glasnevin BC and Boyne Warriors will be among the round one action, as St Patrick’s host St Vincent’s BC and Kestrels face Leixlip BC. 

Only four games will take place in round one of the NICC Women’s National Cup, where Limerick Sport Huskies face Sligo All Stars, Drogheda Wolves take on Belfast Star, Ballincollig BC play Tigers BC and Killester host Boyne Warriors. Last year’s winner Fr. Mathews will be one of 12 teams who skip round one and await the competition in the round of 16.
