Basketball Ireland invites nominations for 2026/27 Hall of Fame

Basketball Ireland is now inviting all registered members, clubs, schools and committees to nominate potential inductees to the Basketball Ireland Hall of Fame 2026/27.

Nominees may be players, coaches, administrators or volunteers. They may be Irish individuals who have made a significant contribution to the game in Ireland or internationally, or international members who have made a direct impact on the game in Ireland. The only requirement is that nominees must have been retired from their role for a minimum of three years.

An independent Nominations Panel has been formed to consider all nominations.

Nominations should include:

• The name of the nominee
• The name of the proposer(s)
• A summary of the nominee's achievements in Irish basketball or their service to Irish basketball in no more than 250 words. 

All nominations should be submitted by email only to BIHallofFame@ireland.basketball by 5pm on Friday, 16th October 2026.

No late nominations will be considered.
